Fun & Floral Wedding in Palm Springs
Katie & John married at Kempa Villa, a beautiful Palm Springs estate with lush gardens and sweeping views of Palm Springs and the surrounding mountains. Their vibrant wedding design and choice of color palette brought a whimsical, fun and unique feel to there ceremony and reception. Luna Design Studios went all out for the floral design of the ceremony, lining the aisle with lush greenery and vibrant fuschia and orange colors that pair well with the existing bouganvilla on property. Florals matched the brides beautiful hand-stitched floral and butterfly iconic “wonder” wedding dress by Monique Lhuiller.
In addition to tray-passed appetizers, MIHO cooked their signature paella made with wild mexican shrimp, local mussels & clams, green bean, onion, pepper, tomato and bomba rice cooked in saffron & lobster broth. Delicious!
Kempa Villa is a five acre private estate with bungalow and casita with sweeping 360-degree views of the Palm Desert valley and mountains. Open the gates to the property to reveal lush, tropical gardens and a palm-lined entry. This Palm Springs wedding venue was the perfect backdrop for Katie and John’s outdoor wedding ceremony and reception.
Guests were treated to a family-style menu featuring a green goddess salad, black garlic & anise braised short rib, dehydrated carrot, garlic chips and chervil, all natural free range whole roasted chicken with a za’atar crust, charred green beans, house made bacon lardons, herbed chicken jus. Sides were pee wee potatoes and wild mushrooms with garlic confit, truffle oil and grated parmesan, as well as baby beets and burrata with green beans, snap peas and toasted pistachios in a mustard vinaigrette.
For dessert, we served our signature ice cream sandwiches: chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream or snickerdoodle cookies with caramel balsamic ice cream. From there, guests took the dance floor for first dances and a late night dance party under the moon.
